Animated Skeleton Warriors are the rank-and-file soldiers of Nemesis's army of undead.

Equipped with swords and shields they show up first in Catacomb Abyss and then later in Catacomb Armageddon.

In Catacomb Abyss[edit]

A Skeleton Warrior.

"This enemy hangs out in most everywhere just being a pain. This guy wields a sword and usually attacks in packs. Fortunately one blow only inflicts 3% damage, but since they attack in packs, they are really annoying, REALLY annoying. This guy appears in most catacomb games, usually tweaked looks though, or sometimes this dude will carry a CHAINGUN in the sewers?!#@!#"
--Description, Catacomb Crypt

Skeleton Warriors bearing a gold sword and shield are the toughest enemy of the early game, boasting 12 hit points and having decent damage output. It often appears in sizable packs, and backed up by other monsters (Wraiths and Zombies in particular). Curiously, Skeletons are not always that aggressive, often taking their time to approach or wandering off if it can't work out a way to the player, but they can be particularly dangerous in groups due to their sheer bulk. Big groups of Skeletons, such as the ones in The Crypt of Nemesis the Undead, may justify using a Zapper or two to thin out their ranks.

Skeleton Warriors only show up on the Crystal Sphere if the player has the Yellow Jewel.

In later levels, the player may see Skeletons embedded in the walls, or strung up with manacles. Some will be environmental decorations, but others will become Skeleton Warriors if the player gets too close!

When destroyed, they collapse in a pile of bones and equipment.

In Catacomb Armageddon[edit]

The improved model.

"Okay Basically just look at the first skeleton warriors description. This enemy hangs out in most everywhere just being a pain. This guy weilds a sword and usually attacks in packs.

The Skeleton Warrior returns, improved from its Catacomb Abyss incarnation, bearing a bronze sword, shield and a new headdress. They are as durable as ever, at 12 Hit Points, and are more aggressive than their predecessor. They also tend to appear with other enemies, specifically Vipers - and while their damage is no higher, they aren't quite as prone to wandering off as their earlier version was. In big groups, or with other enemies, they are a much bigger threat. Zappers can help whittle them down in short order.

As was the case in Catacomb Abyss, they require the Yellow Jewel to detect on the Crystal Sphere.

Also like their Abyss counterpart, they are often used as traps.

In Catacomb Apocalypse[edit]

Skeleton Warriors aren't in this game, but their futuristic counterpart is.

In Catacombs of the Damned[edit]

This homage game features fully armoured knights in a similar role.
