--kraileth

Trivia[edit]
- This is the first taste id Software fans got of the endless texture mapped brick mazes that would become famous to players of Wolfenstein 3D (1992).
- This level, as well as The Fens of Insanity and The Labyrinth, set up the naming convention used in the Catacomb Adventure Series of starting levels with "The ".
- Rather than having a level like this to set the scene, the Catacomb Adventure Series all instead feature a denouement Passage to the Surface level.
