Time Gate

Time Gates, also known as Time Portals, are level exits in Catacomb Apocalypse extended from the Gates from earlier games. They have a highly distinctive appearance and are used for traveling through time. When activated, Time Gates have an extremely loud and distinctive sound when they activate, and are often set up on timers or triggers to activate when a player survives long enough or enters an area. The combination of their sudden appearance and loud noise can startle players who aren't prepared for them.
When traveling to or from The Axis of the Time Lords, Time Gates will be used to reach the place, as well as the various areas closer to Nemesis' base of operations.
